Budmarsh is renowned for its excellent cuisine and offers the best gastronomical experience in the Magaliesberg. Accommodation is inclusive of a sumptuous, six course dinner and a magnificent spread for breakfast.

Our Executive Chef is Chris who hails from the United Kingdom has learnt at the feet of Master Michelin Star Chefs. Having worked for two and a half years in France ensured that Chris has a deep understanding of and a passion for fine dining. While Chris’s style is eclectic he loves to use the freshest ingredients especially fresh herbs which delicately balance flavours.

The menu for each meal is carefully chosen based on the finest of ingredients available for the day and consists of a starter, soup, sorbet, choice of main course, dessert, and coffee and truffles.

A smart casual dress code applies for meals.

The Dining Rooms

Budmarsh has two dining rooms to provide the necessary ambience for small and large groups. The Yellowwood Tree dining room is able to seat 10 couples or a special venue for 20 individuals seated in a large square. The Oak Tree dining room can seat up to 80 guests. The venue allows for dancing or entertainment.

The Bud and Marsh Pub

Settle down to an aperitif just before the main meal, or join your friends around the bar for cocktails and fine liqueurs and ports, and speciality coffees.

The Cellar

Budmarsh has one of the finest stocked cellars in the area. If you enjoy wines or ports, you will find some of the best vintages available. You may also request to have a private function with up to eight people in the cellar. To select a special wine, browse around the cellar in the morning and we will chill your white and dessert wines to the perfect temperature. Wines can also be selected from the cellar before a meal.

Sunday Lunch

We are delighted to inform you that we are now open for Sunday lunch, which is a four course menu, and is served from 12:30 to 14:30. Remember, booking is essential.

High Tea

With its exquisitely landscaped gardens, enchanting trees and magnificent scenery, there is no better place than Budmarsh for a charming experience to share with friends and special people.

Morning and Afternoon High Teas are served Mondays through to Saturdays. Booking is essential.

Picnics

Budmarsh offers you the opportunity to relax, unwind and be treated to a charming picnic on the Budmarsh lawns. And it will be perfectly understood if after indulging in the delights of the picnic basket that you simply close your eyes and fall asleep.

While relaxing you may want to see if you can spot the Golden Oriel whose distinctive call is often the only clue that this beautiful but elusive bird is in the trees. Other birds, including the resident fish eagle and many kingfishers are often spotted.
